To Catch a Smuggler: Search and Seize
Todd Hermann / United States / 2011 / Czech Premiere / 48 min.
synopsis
This National Geographic television series shows New York’s John F. Kennedy airport from the guarded viewpoints of police officers looking for smugglers. As we follow their everyday routing, we see their techniques for uncovering contraband and for interrogating suspects.
Each episode begins with the statement that all the suspects in the series are presumed innocent. The faces of the people being interrogated are often blurred on purpose. Unlike in crime movies, the people who are apprehended are not automatically perpetrators and do not have faces.
