synopsis
The intensities of physical experience and mental passion are reflected in physical and metaphorical splices of cultural, political and personal mythologies. In intimate scenes of transforming photographs into food or masturbation with a razor blade, the image and body become the subject of borderline desire, injury, disruption and harm.
biography
Italian filmmaker Sirio Luginbülh (1937-2014) was interested in literature, art and theatre in his youth. During the sixties, he participated in many avant-garde projects and began to devote himself to his own work. In his films, he experimented with colors, collages and stop tricks, combining paintings and photographs into a coherent picture. His films mostly focus on eroticism, sexuality and body language.
