synopsisPaolo’s sex life began at the age of 14 in the men’s room. Since then, his life has been divided into a world of light and shadow. His sexual awakening is also a political manifesto. Only in gay nightclubs can he be free. It’s a world of imaginary lovers, dancers in the dark, who don’t exist in the daytime for society.
biographyPaolo Villaluna (* 1977) is a member of the Philippine New Wave. His award-winning short film debut Palugid (2001) also ranks him among the representatives of queer cinema. His first feature film Ilusyon (2005) kicked off his “love trilogy”, which also includes Selda (2008) and Walang hanggang paalam (2009).
