We want everyone to be able to enjoy Ji.hlava – including those for whom attending the festival has so far been complicated or difficult to access.

To ensure the festival is truly accessible to as wide an audience as possible, this year we are once again offering free accreditation to senior citizens aged 65 and over, as well as to holders of ZTP and ZTP/P cards. This offer also applies to one person accompanying a ZTP/P card holder.

How to apply?

You can apply for accreditation now via our Visitor Page*. You can collect it in person from October 23, 2026 at the Infopoint on Masaryk Square or at the Horácké Theatre café. From October 23, you can also collect any accreditation you have ordered online from these locations.

You can book seats for specific screenings in person at the Infopoint on Masaryk Square or online after logging into your user account on the festival website.

* If you do not yet have an account in our database, you will need to fill in your basic personal details and choose a password. Registering will make it easier for you to communicate with the Ji.hlava IDFF in future, and you can continue to use your account in subsequent years. Once you have completed the registration process, the accreditation form will become available to you.

Do you need help with accreditation?

If you’re unsure how to go about obtaining accreditation, this year you can also seek assistance from the staff at PointPlus (Senior Point and Family Point) at Palackého 26, Jihlava, which forms part of the Vysočina Region Social Centre. The staff there will help you with registration and the entire process of obtaining accreditation. You can visit them from Monday to Thursday between 10:00 and 15:00.

Special Screenings

Screenings adapted to specific needs

As part of our effort to increase inclusivity, we are preparing screenings specifically adapted for viewers with particular needs. These screenings are clearly marked in the programme for easy identification. Attendees should expect increased movement and noise in the auditorium.

Screenings marked with the symbol ∞ are intended for parents with small children. There will be dim lighting during the screening, and children may move freely or play with quiet toys.

Parents have priority and free admission to these screenings. All screenings for parents are also Catch-Up screenings. Simply arrive 15 minutes before the start. All screening venues are accessible.

Screenings marked with the symbol (s) are intended for seniors, who will have priority entry to the screening hall. The screening will be clearly indicated in the programme and adapted to their needs — it will provide a calmer atmosphere and on-site support.

Special festival and non-festival screenings in 2026

We want to make the festival accessible to as wide an audience as possible – not only to those who come directly to the festival cinemas, but also to those for whom attending the festival may be more difficult for various reasons. In 2026, too, we are therefore collaborating with a number of social and other organisations across the Vysočina Region and are preparing special opportunities for their clients to experience documentary film.

Screenings held directly in care homes for the elderly form a significant part of this year’s programme. For example, we are working with Senevida care homes in Jihlava, Humpolec, Kamenice nad Lipou and Telč, the Jihlava Integrated Centre for Social Services, the Vysočina Region Social Centre, Senevida Chotěboř, and the Jeřabina care homes in Pelhřimov and Onšov. Screenings aimed specifically at the residents of these facilities will take place there, whilst we will also welcome some of the elderly residents directly to the festival in Jihlava.

This year’s festival also builds on our collaboration with a number of other organisations in Jihlava that support people with health or other disabilities, older people, those in difficult social circumstances, and other groups for whom attending the festival may be more challenging. We are actively reaching out to these organisations, providing accreditation for their clients and helping them to organise their visit, as well as offering opportunities to take part in the programme directly on the festival grounds.

Thanks to these partnerships, documentary films are reaching people who might not normally attend the festival. At the same time, we can welcome new audience members to the festival and share the experience of the film with them.

Accessibility

Accessibility is an important part of the festival for us. The Dukla Cinema, Dioda, DKO, Horácké Theatre in Jihlava and Stříbrný dům are all fully accessible. Assistance dogs are also welcome without restriction in all these venues.
