director: Yu-Yuan Hung
original title: Pangolin
country: Czech Republic
year: 2020
running time: 12 min.

In January 2020, Prague and Taipei officially became sister cities, and Taipei gave Prague a gift – a pangolin. This documentary was made before the formal signing of the contract. In the film, the director works to figure out why this particular animal was chosen and paints a portrait of both the pangolin and Taiwan in the process.

Yu-Yuan Hung (1985) majored in science while at university but grew interested in writing stories about 6 years ago. He has written a number of screenplays and short stories. Last year, he directed his first, very own short film and later enrolled in the directorial program at FAMU.
