Echoes of Ji.hlava in Romania

Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival is back in Bucharest! Echoes of Ji.hlava will take place from 7 to 11 March 2023. The screenings start at 19:30 and are followed by Q&A sessions with the directors.

Echoes of Ji.hlava in Romania

The program will include the movie Happily Ever After by Jana Počtová, who won Audience Award and the Student Jury Award at Ji.hlava, and the film Pongo Calling by Tomáš Kratochvíl. Followingly, Best Czech Documentary winner from Ji.hlava – Kapr Code by Lucie Králová, observational documentary Art Talent Show by Tomáš Bojar and Adéla Komrzý, and the Bloom by Canadian director Fanie Pelletier, will be screened.

On the occasion of Echoes, Tomáš Bojar will hold a masterclass for the students of Bucharest-based University of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale (UNATC).

The films are subtitled in English. The entrace is free and the Budweiser Budvar beer is on the house.

 

The event is organised by Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival and the Czech Centre Bucharest, in partnership with the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale" in Bucharest and with the support of Budweiser Budvar.
