My European Story Made in Taiwan

My European Story Made in Taiwan

Europe through the eyes of someone who chose it as their new home and started from scratch. Writer Kevin Chen is originally from Taiwan and now lives in Germany. He is the author of the internationally acclaimed novel Ghost Town. In his work, he speaks openly about his experience as a queer migrant and what it’s like to search for a place where you can be yourself and feel at home. His “European story” is shaped by languages, cities, and identities, showing that Europe is not only made up of those who were born here, but also those who come to find and expand their space for self-determination, free creation, and diverse concepts of home. Perhaps this is the most important thing about Europe, and one that we easily forget.

Speaker: Kevin Chen
