Sebastian Brameshuber

Sebastian Brameshuber (b. 1981) studied stage and film design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and film at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains in France. Since 2004, his works have been regularly shown and also awarded prizes at various film and media-art festivals such as Berlinale, Viennale, Cinéma du Réel, Karlovy Vary, among others. Following Muezzin in 2009 and And There We Are, in the Middle in 2014, his third feature-length film, Movements of a Nearby Mountain, was released in 2019, for which Brameshuber was awarded the Grand Prix Cinéma du Réel 2019 at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
