The drama of the ants’ life unfolds in memory traces shaped by phantom light as a remnant of brief images in flashbacks following the folding and twisting into phantasmal positions of the ants’ segmented bodies inside their safe shelters.biography
Tetsuya Maruyama (1983) is a Japanese multidisciplinary artist based in Rio de Janeiro, who is focused on film, performance, sound and installations. In his experimental work, he deals first and foremost with the light in images. His films have been screened at many international festivals including Ji.hlava IFDF, where he screened his Meaning of Gaps (2020).more about film
