The dreamy memory of the ubiquitous bicycles in Beijing is a playful material for decomposing the image on the basis of colour affinity, creating surfaces with carefully calculated shade ratios in the gaps between the movement of the bicycles in heavy traffic.

biography

French artist Jean-Michell Rolland (1972) originally started composing music and painting, and since 2010, he has been combining both media as part of his digital art works. He creates experimental videos and interactive performances featuring his own music accompaniments in which he makes efforts at revealing the inner structure of our environment, providing the world around us with a new dimension.
