synopsis
Today’s re-evaluation of the 20th century is happening on many fronts – one example is this portrait of German music producer Conny Plank, who helped shape the music of Kraftwerk, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Neu!, Devo, Cluster, Ultravox and Eurythmics, and who died at just 47.
biography
The film was co-created by Reto Caduff (1967) and Conny’s son Stephan Plank (1974). Caduff is an award-winning photographer and director of musical films (among others, about jazz musician Charlie Haden and the legendary hard rock band Krokus). Stephan manages his father’s estate.
