synopsis
Pavel Blumenfeld’s cinematic feuilleton is set in Prague’s automat restaurants, buffets, and cheap canteens. A commentary on local dietary habits, it depicts both lunchtime rushes and quiet afternoon moments. The footage of restaurant regulars is combined with acted scenes and the director’s mediation on the search for the film’s subject matter.
