Food is a narcotic, an idol, a refuge for sad people. This timeless popular science film by the Institute of Health Education searches for the cause of obesity in the new human species, homo sedentarius, the sedentary man, and develops various strategies to defeat the mountains of fat that have grown out of the patriotic triad of dumplings, sauerkraut, and pork.biography
Hugo Huška (1914–1970) was a director, screenwriter, and actor. He made films from the 1940s to the 1960s. He starred in Dívka v modrém (Girl in Blue, 1939). As a director, he focused on sports and physical education films, and portraits of artists. His works include Národní umělec Josef Lada (National Artist Josef Lada, 1952) and Na slovíčko, pane kuřáku (A Word, Mr. Smoker, 1966).film details
