Introspective films processing both found and archival personal materials became almost a subgenre of their own during the pandemic lock-down. The sensitive diary collage focuses on exploratory attempts to retrace the path to one’s own identity.

biography

Cyprus-born Marios Lizides (1981) graduated from Edinburgh University and is now involved mainly in filmmaking, photography and literature. He not only directs his films, but also edits them and composes music. His graduation film, Wax and Feathers (2018), has received a number of awards and was presented at Ji.hlava IFDF the very same year it premiered.
