synopsis
On a frozen lake, a mother guides her daughter through a raw and intimate ritual of cleansing. Through the touch of icy water, unbraided hair, and a symbolic burial, they find closure after the painful loss of an unborn child. In each other’s presence, they discover a path from grief to acceptance.biography
Anna Zubatá graduated in Digital Media from the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and is now in her second year of Documentary Filmmaking at FAMU. Her work explores personal themes, introspection and the relationship between the body and soul. Her films include Who Took the Photo, Mum? (2025) and Hanging in There (2025), which was screened at Ji.hlava IDFF.film details
