Heirs to the Intangible Cultural Heritage

Ester Halagová / Czech Republic, Slovakia / 2026 / World Premiere / 10 min.

synopsis

Easter is the most important celebration in the Christian calendar. In Lendak, a village at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, faith and community life are closely intertwined. The younger generation reflects on how to keep these traditions alive in their own way.

biography

Ester Halagová considers herself a lifelong student. While studying photography, she discovered a love for documenting reality, and later moved from music studies to documentary filmmaking at FAMU. She enjoys exploring how our surroundings and society shape us as individuals, placing these influences in a broader context as she learns to make films. In her spare time, she walks everywhere, crochets and travels.
