synopsis
Giant cargo ships and endless rows of containers embody the colossal nature of today’s maritime transport. The composition often places them in the background, as a backdrop to everyday life. The film thereby captures the paradox of maritime logistics: it is hard to overlook, yet invisible at the same time. A static camera, long shots, and music composed of the sounds of the port, and sea organs create the meditative atmosphere of this documentary poem.
