We'll see each other again, right?

synopsis

A breakup as a beginning, the closeness of someone drifting away, or a sense of freedom as we lose someone. An intimate, existential act of soul-searching immerses itself in the chaotic materiality of objects. Analogue footage, the clatter of a projector, a running strip of film and an empty room dance through a visual collage, caught in a swirl of feelings and thoughts in the wake of a breakup.

biography

Anna Zubatá graduated in Digital Media from the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and is now in her second year of Documentary Filmmaking at FAMU. Her work explores personal themes, introspection and the relationship between the body and soul. Her films include Who Took the Photo, Mum? (2025) and Hanging in There (2025), which was screened at Ji.hlava IDFF.
