26th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival
Tomáš Klein is preparing an adaptation of Jáchym Topol's book, A Sensitive Man, as his feature debut. His student films have celebrated success at many international festivals. His undergraduate film, Retriever, made together with Tomáš Merta, was screened at the Cannes IFF in the Cinéfondation section. As a second unit director, he collaborated on Jan Němec's The Wolf from Royal Vineyard Street and completed the film at the request of the late director after Němec’s death. He worked as a cinematographer on Viera Čákanyová's FREM, for which he won the Czech Film Critics' Award for Audiovisual Achievement of the Year (the film had its international premiere at the Berlinale Forum and won the Pavel Koutecký Award).
