My Street Films
Over the twelve years since its inception, My Street Films has established itself as a major educational initiative, inspiring people from all walks of life to make short films about issues they consider important. The project’s unique strength lies in its openness: throughout the year, it connects a community of people actively involved in shaping life in their towns and cities with media industry professionals. In addition to a nationwide competition for the best film, it offers documentary filmmaking workshops for selected applicants, public seminars, intensive workshops, and film screenings accompanied by talks and discussions. The online edition of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival will showcase films made during this year’s workshops, including the winners of the My Street Films Award competition.
A Little closer: Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
A personal story about ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. The hope for a miraculous change gradually gives way to an encounter with what has long been suppressed. The film is about finding a path to oneself and to others, and about hope in moments when it seems there is no path forward.
