Čelisti: A Documentary Isn’t a Film. Or Is It?

At the country’s most important documentary film festival, the show returns after a year-long break. It has long insisted that a documentary is not a film. Čelisti is heading back into the chilly embrace of the Vysočina region to defend – or reassess – its radical views. Which documentaries from this year’s program have delighted us and why? Will Aleš Stuchlý, Vít Schmarc, and Tomáš Stejskal ever make their own documentary Opus Bonum? An absorbing evening at the crossroads of film criticism and pure absurdity. Kick back and unwind with the Čelisti podcast!
