Nobody needs to know about this, he said
Personal testimony about the process of trauma treatment. The feelings of loss and   insignificance are the realities of our everyday lives. There are some unprocessed emotions that need their space and reason. How does the personal artwork becomes political? What is depoliticizes it? What is our relationship with pain and our own body in context of accepting ourselves? Is it possible to transform pain into a positive signal of being alive? In it possible to breathe to self-consciousness?  To experience a trauma again intentionally can help with letting go however it often remains not solved by society.  Recasting of emotional and mental material from apathy and resignation to a hidden intimate confession and call for a change of society and a collective transformation of shame to pride, anger to strength and pain to sympathy. War memorial
The film essay brings the audience right into the heart of a historical battle re-enactment. The hundreds of soldiers fighting in historical costumes imitate organized violence; the film oscillates between a game, a theatre play, a Spartakiad and Land art. The multiplied projections evoke war turmoil, further enhanced by quotes from Karel Čapek’s anti-war drama The Mother.

Fire sport 2
The original aim of capturing varying gender viewpoints of a firefighters’ contest in an omnibus film ended as an homage to instructional film. Two screens: men on the right, women on the left. The “male” footage and “female” footage were thoroughly shuffled and randomly and systematically split up between Ježek and Daňhel. Daňhel edited analytically (on paper), Ježek structurally (minimalistically). Very loud projection!!! The soundtrack is dominated by people reminiscing upon the clichés of instructional films – jazz-rock soundtrack, brisk narration, characteristic off-screen sounds. Firefighters ad infinitum.

To Be Framed
Recent history dies out in the overgrown landscape of a former German military base where children are playing. Through performances by young protagonists and disturbing commentary that suggests that the innocence of the images isn’t what it appears to be, the film reflects on the phenomenon of violence and encourages us to learn from the past.

Self-portrait as Doubt
Self-portrait as Doubt is a video collage-essay on the topic of a doubt and an uncertainty. In the film the author through an image and sound develops a contemplation about his own art praxis. An introspective work combines author's shots with appropriated material, a family archive, drawings and reflections to a form of a multi-layered collage.

Atlas
Glowing points of light pass by into the endless darkness to create the illusion of flying through space. The constellations created from photographs of the nighttime city are projected in a 3D slideshow to evoke the sense of flying among glowing points in the universe. Accompanied by authentic, lightly exaggerated sounds from the recorded places, the lights of the filmmaker's nighttime microcosm relativise the way perceive our immediate surroundings. The screening includes an atlas in which the filmmaker has drawn the constellations based on the image of his city.

The Snake Would Not Eat the Butterfly
An interview with a 24-year-old girl who is going through her memories in order to formulate her future and come up with what to create in her “productive years”. She turns to important points in the past, primarily those in the family, and uses associative images and titles related to the remembered scenes to delve into concrete situations and their consequences, to explore the preordained nature of family stories. The images were shot on a mobile phone and edited together in a work that mixes film diary with video blog.

I Couldn't Help but Wonder
A rhythmic audiovisual composition combining three nearly identical video sequences into a somewhat disharmonious whole, accompanied by a musical imitation of the thundering of passing railway cars. Part of the filmmaker’s triptych Travelogue on the search for the inner world of a person lost in seeming banalities.

Funeral
Through performances in the post-industrial landscape of the Most Basin, the filmmaker addresses the consequences of exploiting natural resources. Live tableaux, in which symbolic funerals for the devastated landscape - paradoxically full of strange unnatural beauty – are held, are a critical commentary on how we deal with the natural environment.

Operation Urban Warrior
Anthony Bird is a war veteran who was the sole survivor of a military operation in his unit. His memories are as surreal as the animation which simulates the course of the incident in the form of a computer game. Everything looks flat but we must trust our own sensees which tell us that in reality, the world isn't flat.
